Asthenia is a non-specific syndrome common in general practice and occurs patients with acute chronic somatic disorders, including infectious ones. The novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) one of the leading causes severe persistent asthenia. hypothalamicpituitary- adrenal axis essential for development asthenia since its dysfunction provoked by various factors (including infections) results electrolyte metabolism impairment hypokalemia hypomagnesemia. This paper describes hypothetical pathogenic mechanism after COVID-19, which implies over-activation renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system that, particular, leads to hypokalemia. role pharmacotherapy prescribed COVID-19 highlighted. Study demonstrate high rate suggest direct correlation between severity activity viral infection. Furthermore, detection abnormalities both convalescence. Finally, authors consider ways relieving this pathological condition.
